that fails to protect them from harm. In Florida, alone, nearly a thousand children a year are lost in the social services system for various reasons. An examination of their
organization promises to offer some explanation of how these children became lost, why the system lost track of them in the first place, and what sorts of inadequacies in the
structure of the organization may have led to the inefficiency of the agency. ACCESSIBILITY Florida Department of Children and Families figures prominently in any foster care situation within the
state of Florida. When one is researching any facet of the child welfare system in that state, one is generally directed toward this agency. It did not take a lengthy
exploration of their records to realize that this is the proverbial leaky vessel. The Florida Department of Children and Families is accessible by various means. They maintain a website:
