milk beverages to 6-12 year old customers. The product is being introduced by an established beverage manufacturer. Lets first discuss plain milk,
as its difficult to determine a plan for flavored milk without introducing regular milk into the mix as well. For centuries milk,
next to water, had been the beverage of choice for most people. Even in biblical history, there had been talk about goats milk. For the most part, however, milk has
come from cows, and as cows are not exactly a rare breed, milk was plentiful. It is thought to be nutritious, with many vitamins and minerals that are essential for
the growth of bones and teeth (which is especially important among growing boys and girls). In many cases, in fact, milk was more healthful than water, especially when Louis Pasteur
introduced the concept of pasteurization, thus sterilizing milk and getting rid of diseases that could impact humans. In many cases, water (which was not treated at the time), carried more
diseases than did milk. However, milks star began to fade during the 20th century, when different drink alternatives became available, from juices
and juice drinks to sodas. Children, not liking the bland taste of milk, preferred the sweeter taste of the competitive juice drinks. While milk was in no danger of going
away, it did lose a great deal in terms of market share and sales. Enter flavored milk. Chocolate milk, of course, has
