However, there is also the extra board conductor, a worker who is essentially on call whenever a conductor is in need of replacement. The following paper examines some articles that
help us understand the duties of the extra board conductor on passenger and freight trains. Extra Board Conductor In first looking at the role of the extra board conductor
we look at something of a journal entry sent to a website, by someone who is an extra board conductor. He states, "A usual day on the railroad starts with
