China was the worlds 4th-largest producer of paperboard. Had such a scenario continued, the notion of exporting paperboard to China would be one that could be seen as being poorly
planned and without merit. The world-leading ratings that China does still appear on are those of manufacturing. The outlook for the future is promising, and Chinas economic expansion hinges on
manufacturing. Increasing numbers of multinational organizations are addressing the global market as a single one, and uniformity in product and appearance is more important for building brand identity and brand
loyalty than at any other time. This business case development discusses marketing environment, competition, buyer behavior, marketing strategy and financial estimates based on a project budget of $300,000.
Introduction It is well known that China has become the mecca for contract producers, those businesses
that design and market products but do not actually manufacture them. Instead, they contract out their manufacturing operations and many own no production facilities of their own. This
is the situation in many industries, including shoes, apparel, gift items and consumer electronics, among others. These contracted manufacturing facilities increasingly are responsible
for final packaging of the products they manufacture for others. In earlier years they would ship product back to the contracting company for final packaging, but cost pressures for
efficient operation over the past decade has made it more cost effective to contract Chinese producers for the full production and final packaging of those items they manufacture.
