conflict and widespread killing. For those who cannot accept the fact that humanity will always be involved in some level of global strife, the phenomenon of why countries enter
into war will never make sense. Truly, there are varying personalities that make up a leader, and some leaders possess the type of character that enjoys the scent of
war. Pitted against this person, it is most difficult for the rest of the world to avoid conflict. WHAT IS TERRORISM? In the majority of cases, terrorists subscribe
to the theory that the world is an unfair and unjust place to live, and that it is the United States that causes this injustice. Therefore, they believe that
by causing mass destruction and casualties they are making the world a more just place (Gardner A51). The reason many terrorists are willing to die for their causes is because
in their beliefs, this makes them martyrs. Also, their families usually get large monetary rewards as well as the knowledge that their family member died as a brave hero,
doing what was right for the cause (Gardner A51). In reality there is no one definition of terrorism. This is what makes fighting terrorism so difficult -- there is
a saying that "One mans terrorist is another mans freedom fighter" (Ganor, PG). It goes without saying that terrorism is usually what attacks on our own country are considered,
