Of all my past experience, several aspects of my job at Wachovia have prepared me for implementing various learning theories that give guidance to those who seek positive change yet are not quite sure how to attain it. Those tasks include partnering with HR Managers to identify performance gaps between client goals and current performance needs for international, commercial, retail and HR training operations; development and implementation of statement of works, communication and project plans; partnering with the Learning Strategy Group (LSG) and the International Learning Team to maintain and enhance learning programs and applicable resources; and earning such certification as FAME, Foundation of Assessment, Measurement and Evaluation. Understanding the vast and various aspects of contemporary commerce requires a comprehensive awareness of what it takes to succeed in todays business world. No longer is it acceptable to place one person at the helm who dictates how a particular company will operate; instead, the corporate approach has come to embrace a more enlightened perspective with regard to addressing the ever-changing needs of commercial interchange, with team learning representing one of the most widespread formulas used in todays working environment. Team learning - as I have both learned and applied - removes the one-sidedness so prevalent with conventional business thinking and instills a sense of empowerment throughout the entire workforce.
