of the building. The mass amount of gold that sits behind the alter provides a feeling of abundance. An abundance of gold is something that can do more to provide
a powerful experience than perhaps a piece of jewelry due to the large space it fills. Most have had the experience of holding a large piece of fourteen karat
gold, but the gold that is contained in the cathedral is immense and provides a powerful feeling that may be associated with greatness. The attachment to gold in society is
more than just an attachment to its worth. Rather, there is a sense of awe and reverence for nature when in its presence. The fact that the architectural space contains
an immense amount of gold adds to the experience of being in a powerful place and the experience of wonderment. Essay Two Viewing the outside of the Mexico
