sent by God. While many of the lines within this particular work point to different aspects of Jesus personality, the line discussed is one that illustrates a truly spiritual aspect
of the young boy, as well as portending the role he was sent to play. I. The Line Simplicity The line chosen is of the utmost simplicity in many ways,
as will be illustrated further on. The line is as follows: "On a certain day when there had fallen a shower of rain he went forth of the house where
his mother was and played upon the ground where the waters were running: and he made pools, and the waters flowed down, and the pools were filled with water." Context
This particular line is nearly at the very beginning of the entire work, only having been preceded by descriptions of the fact that Jesus and his family had come to
Nazareth in Jesus fifth year. The line sets the stage for all that comes, being that it is at the very start of the work. Preparation The line being
