passion. For example, you could say: The overriding passion in my life can be expressed very simply. It is knowledge. Learning, being taught new facts, new skills,
new ideas and having that new knowledge broaden the mind and the scope of ones world is the most exciting experience that an individual can experience. With the pursuit of
knowledge, the world itself changes because the learner never looks at it in the same way as before. My passion is to have my world be limitless and never set
boundaries or limitations on acquiring new knowledge. As a little girl in China, my world had boundaries about what behavior was proper and what thoughts and beliefs were proper.
The boundaries of my intellectual world were narrow. I thought the whole world was very much like my own experience and home. Then, I began to learn English and read
English books, and the boundaries of my world expanded. I began to see that there is a world of possibilities--different ways of thinking, different ways of viewing societies, history, and
politics. I am assuming that this process occurred when you began to learn English, but it may have been caused from something else. If so, discuss that cause. I
am certain that something expanded your worldview because something always does. Children assume that everybody is like them, but, at some time, they realize that difference exists. Talk about what
that time was like for you. Also, at this point, tell about your early education, and how it helped you to love learning. Did you have a teacher that was
