their coworkers, they are more likely to turn to others for support and as a part of the team approach. In contrast, when workers do not get along, dissent
in the workplace can be a major focus of managers and workers. When individuals do not get along, it is likely that they will spend time addressing personal issues
that influence their ability to work together. Communications can breakdown and cooperation diminishes. The time spent managing employees who do not get along and refocusing their efforts away
from interpersonal conflict and towards their task performance can take up a significant amount of time for workplace managers. Though it is possible to be productive in a workplace
setting where workers do not get along, cooperation can make the workplace a more pleasant place and worker satisfaction can result in reductions in turnover rates and improvements in productivity.
