as modern and forward looking was based on scientific management theories. At the beginning of the twentieth century these were seen as modern due to the increased level of production
and the use of scientific method to create the way in which they worked. At the same time the principle role of biasness was that laid down by Friedman, the
creation of profit for the owners. Friedman had a very simple view on the responsibility of a company (Chryssides et al,
1999). Friedmans argument was that the role of business was singular; the responsibility and that is the responsibility to their shareholders or owners; the increasing of their profits (Chryssides et
al, 1999). Milton Friedman was a capitalist and an unwavering supporter of Laissez faire capitalism, that is freedom form intervention of any sort save that of force in the
preservation of freedom (Chryssides et al, 1999). This had been in favour with the western world and the development of many of the colonies and increasing standards of living
were attributed in part to the increased ability to produce more than ever before, This statement is not quite as simple as
it seems. It does not deny the existence of social responsibility and roles, but places a very specialised perception on ; a business with no social considerations will not
