and experience are inherent in the field of psychology. Behaviorism, for instance, is founded on the belief that everything we do has been learned. We learn how to think and
how to act. We use reason as well as past experience to reach conclusions about what we are supposed to do. Darwin was a naturalist. It was a popular belief
in the 19th century. G. Stanley Hall was strongly influenced by Darwins theories of evolution. It was the catalyst for Halls scientific studies of child development. Hall considered Darwins survival
