nature. If God is good then why does evil exist? Why would a God, who is good, allow evil to exist? Surely, as human beings who want things to only
be good, would surely rather have things be "good" without evil so why would an all powerful being, God, allow evil to exist? The following paper examines how and why
evil exists in a world presumably created by God. Evil in a World Created by God, Who is Good Perhaps one of the most obvious answers to the
question in mind is that which involves free will. It is assumed that the angels, also Gods creation, do not have free will and they are essentially good, although Lucifer
obviously discovered some sort of free will becoming Satan. Human beings were given the will to choose their own path, as demonstrated by Adam and Eve who were given such
free will. They chose wrongly and their lives, and the lives of all human beings since, have existed in a world with evil. This is because God gave human beings
the freedom to choose, the freedom to make their own choices. One author presents a perspective illustrating how "it is always feasible that God could have a good reason
for permitting evil; a reason of which we are not aware. And as long as this is logically possible, there is no contradiction between the existence of an all good,
all powerful God and the existence of evil" (Power to Change, 2006). After all, God is the being who is powerful enough to have created the entire universe and human
