to Crow (2001), a team charter is a clear description of a teams mission in addition to the authority and resources that the team will require in order to accomplish its goals. The charter is generally something that includes a work statement, background, conditions, requirements and so forth (Crow, 2001). A learning team for example may have the goal of gathering, synthesizing, and fostering new information with a mission to encourage and develop new students. In analyzing the team charter, it is prudent to take into consideration the scope of the team and the number of members. Presently, there are four members of the team and each has different personality characteristics. In measuring personality, the Meyers-Briggs personality scale should be used as it is quite popular. The system would have its beginnings in 1956 (Quenk, 2000). While useful in the workplace, the scale is flexible enough to have applicability on a variety of fronts, inclusive of, but not limited to, the counseling environment (Quenk, 2000). While the use of the instrument is widespread, the basic premise remains the same. By taking a test, and answering a variety of questions on preferences, ones type is found at the end of the test. A weight is given to each of the characteristics scored and finally, the end result is that the subject discovers that he is one of sixteen different types of people in the world. One may assume that the four individuals on the team each have certain characteristics attached to the scale. Dan is an ISTJ (Introverted, sensing, thinking and judgmental).
