A 6 page paper discussing the Journal of Marketing, Journal of Consumer Research and Journal of Marketing Research. All of these journals maintain sound approaches and integrity in valid research principles and methods. They also present valid conclusions based on the findings of that research. Interestingly, none of them appear to chase after only current thinking to the exclusion of knowledge gained in the past on which 'current thinking' is built. They each occupy a specific point on a continuum running between pure theory and pure practice, however, and those who would use the knowledge contained within them need to understand their differences.
