a copyringt issue as it respects other mediums. Most are familiar with the commercial of sorts that appears at the start of every DVD where illegal downloading is highlighted. Of
course, copyright is nothing new and has always been associated with book authors. Before going further into this ethical area, it pays to define copyright. What is copyright
exactly? A definition from the Online Ethics Center is as follows: "A legal right (usually of the author or composer or publisher of a work) to exclusive publication production, sale,
distribution of some work. What is protected by the copyright is the "expression," not the idea. Notice that taking anothers idea is plagiarism, so copyrights are not the equivalent of
legal prohibition of plagiarism" ("Online Ethics Center," 2006). Here, one can see that while copyright is not exactly the same thing as plagiarism, plagiarism sometimes enters the picture. For example,
