project is very difficult and many managers have been unable to make the required determinations. The idea is generally that individuals will be able to tell which is right
or wrong, that it is an inbuilt instinct, this is not the case. Indeed, the Project Management Institute code fo ethics appears to make this assumption; "the Project Management Professionals,
in the pursuit of the profession, affect the quality of life for all people in our society. Therefore, it is vital that Project Management Professionals conduct their work in an
ethical manner to earn and maintain the confidence of team members, colleagues, employees, employers, clients, and the public" (Jacobs, 1999; 139). Many
actions that are undertaken may have a domino effect and what is right may be subjective depending on the perceptive of the audience, or even unforeseen. There is a
general agreement in much literature that ethics decision process need to be incorporated within project plans (McNamara, 1999). This can act as a tool to help prevent crisis (Jacobs, 1999).
There are many tools advised for the prevention of crisis, and whilst many my advocate crisis prevention models, there are also some ethics management models emerging that are simple
to implement in order prevent ethical dilemmas or adverse selection options. One model outlines 8 steps, the first is to recognised that the management of ethics is a process
