of reference, they present their version of the truth. b. Ethics must be at the heart of any managerial decision. Adam Smith promoted the idea that "rational self-interest in a
free-market economy leads to economic well-being" (Henderson, 2002). However, Smith also discussed what he called the invisible hand" (Henderson, 2002). While involved in these endeavors to earn the maximum, the
person or a company unknowingly benefits others and the society (Henderson, 2002). The literature clearly demonstrates that ethical corporations are more profitable than unethical corporations (Verschoor, 2003). A five year
study from the Institute of Business Ethics revealed: "the ethical companies outperformed the others in four of the five years" (Verschoor, 2003). Stanley (2002) pointed out that "everyone is impacted
by a managers decision, so it is imperative that the decision is ethical" (p. 3). All stakeholders, including employees, suppliers, consumers, agencies, expect a company to be fair and rational
(Stanley, 2002). That means they expect companies to be ethical (Stanley, 2002). c. The Internet itself is responsible for creating a global perspective. The Internet allows any size company to
