not can be made from a variety of perspectives. Each individual, in fact, has their own particular ethical perspective. One means that has been put forward for delineating
this perspective is the ethics awareness inventory, a computerized test that categorizes your ethical perspective based on your answers to a series of questions. The four ethical categories are:
character, obligation, results and equity. An individual that grounds his or her ethical perspective on character tends to evaluate a situation
on the basis of their own character and on the character of others. They strive to be virtuous and attempt to discern virtue, or the lack of, in others.
These individuals walk the high road of morals and expect others to do the same. Those that comply with their moral expectations are embraced but those that do
not meet these expectations are often rebuffed. This is true regardless of the reasons that others choose to act as they do. The only important factor in the
equation is character. Character, of course, is not only a multifaceted being but also something that is easily masked. Bad
people can appear good and vice versa. Making a determination about an individuals true character often requires considerable observation and analysis. Are they always benevolent? Are they always
truthful? Obviously, such determinations are almost an impossibility. While some people tend to do exactly that, assessing the ethics of a situation based on the perceived character of
