will spend millions if not billions of advertising dollars to target children in their marketing campaigns even though they realize that those they are targeting do not have any money
to purchase the items being advertised. These companies have conducted numerous market research studies and have come to the conclusion that if a child wants something they are most likely
going to get it assuming it is reasonably priced and affordable. So although they target children in their advertisements, they understand that selling to the children will inevitably lead, at
least for the most part, to the parents purchasing the item. However, many people have begun to complain that targeting marketing at children can be harmful and ethically wrong. They
believe this marketing should be forever banned because it is exposing children for negative purposes. Others argue that as long as no laws are being broken, the product does not
cause harm and the parents agree to have their children in the marketing campaign then companies should be allowed to target kids. This essay will present a case study applying
various ethical concepts and whether targeting marketing at children is ethical or not. This study will examine childrens toys and whether it is harmful or unethical to place
