Correlation "coefficients can range from -1.00 to +1.00" (Electronic Statistics Textbook, n.d.), where -1.00 is perfectly negative correlation and +1.00 is perfectly positive correlation. In the present assessment of correlation between several sets of two variables each, there is no quantitative measure either given or possible with the data provided. The labels given to correlation status in Table 1 are subjective and qualitative based on observed outcomes. Positive correlation does not imply only that there is a linkage relationship between two variables, but also that "as one variables values tend to increase, the other variables values also tend to increase" (Electronic Statistics Textbook, n.d.). Conversely, negative correlation "is such that as one variables values tend to increase, the other variables values tend to decrease" (Electronic Statistics Textbook, n.d.).
