time and the characters and plots in the Artemis Fowl books are nothing like Rowlings Harry Potter tales. The following paper provides a brief (and incomplete) book review of the
first of the Artemis Fowl books by Eoin Colfer. The book is merely titled "Artemis Fowl." Artemis Fowl First and foremost it should be understood that this book review
will be brief because of the space available and it will be incomplete as it is not intended to serve as a summary of the book for the student. It
is the students responsibility to read the book and review it with their own perspectives and their own unique opinions. Bearing that in mind we turn to the novel itself.
This particular book is a very intriguing book with intricate characters and clever twists and turns. As such it is a book that can be enjoyed by adults as well
as children. The most notable character is, of course, Artemis Fowl, who is considered to be an incredibly intelligent criminal mastermind. Yet, he is only 12 years old. We assume,
from his name and his pursuits that he is something of a dishonest boy and a boy who will stop at nothing to gain some power and money. But, as
indicated previously, there are twists and turns to this book and we find that we like Artemis more than we thought we would. The story begins with the Fowl
family, a previously very wealthy family, losing much of its fortune after the father has disappeared. It is up to Artemis to somehow devise a plan where the family can
