style of an entrepreneur compared to a large business leader where there are inherent aspects of bureaucracy and a more constrained environment where rule braking may not be as acceptable.
In order to consider this it is necessary to assess what is meant by the term entrepreneur and the characteristics or characteristics that are associated with it. When looking at
definition of entrepreneurs these are wide ranging, but there are some commonalities in all of the descriptions. The need for innovation and top pioneer changes is present in all definitions,
however, the level of entrepreneurship may also be seen on a range of scales, form those who simply want to be self employed, to those who want to change the
world (Drucker, 1993). The origins of the word come fro the French "entreprendre" meaning to undertake (Drucker, 1993). By applying this to
a commercial meaning the initial meaning is to start up a business, this can be defined as "someone who organizes a business venture and assumes the risk for it" (Hyperdictionary,
2008). Timmons builds on this stating that an entrepreneur is someone who is wiling to take both financial and personal risks. However, this may also be too broad as we
can argue not all self employed people are entrepreneurs, they lack the attitude and drive, and even the motivation. Therefore we need to look deeper than this to gain a
