and her struggles to survive and reunite the family. Throughout the story the reader will see many different events and experiences that offer up a very intimate and personal look
at what it is like for many people who struggle to survive and often come to the United States in the hopes of success. The following paper offers a review
of the work. Enriques Journey The setting of the book is quite varied. It begins in Honduras which is where Enrique
and his mother Lourdes live. Both Lourdes and Enrique will go through many different locations in the story. For example, they both travel up through almost all parts of Mexico
and they travel through many areas in the United States, including, of course, the border of Mexico and the United States. With each chapter the reader will see different locations
from various viewpoints concerning characters. For example, one chapter may discuss life in Florida while it also discusses life in Honduras. The primary portions of the book, as they relate
to the plot, are primarily Honduras and Florida. As presumed, the primary characters are Enrique and his mother Lourdes. In the beginning
of the book Lourdes is preparing to leave Honduras: ""The boy does not understand...Enrique has no hint of what she is going to do...She understands, as only a mother can,
the terror she is about to inflict, the ache Enrique will feel, and finally the emptiness" (Nazario, 2007; 3). She is going away, as hard as it is, in the
hopes of traveling to the United States where she can get work, send money home, and save money so that her son can be with her. She is constantly being
