In 2003 the business was expanded with the acquisition of Schick-Wilkinson Sword (SWS) company, this company specialised in personal care wet shave products with the Wilkinson Sword and Schick brands as well as the Quattro Xtreme 3 Lady Protector and Intuition are brand developments, with goods made from men and women, with full shave systems and disposable goods. These goods are sold in 80 countries with the goods made by more than 4,000 employees (Energizer, 2007). In total Energiser have 23 production and packaging facilities in 14 countries that are used to create the revenues and profits that are seen with the progress of the company. The company may be seen as active in two areas, the main competitor for the personal shaving is the Gillette and for the batteries it is Duracell, looking for a company with a similar profile Spectrum brands has a similar, but slightly more divergent product range. With headquarters in Atlanta Georgia, this is a smaller company with only 8,400 employees, and compared to Energizers market capitalization of $4.82 billion it only has capitalization of $478.94 million.
