issue of death and most notably the issue of end-of-life decision making. Although there have been great advances in medical care, this may at times lead to prolonged life which
may be intolerably painful. End-of-life decision making is promoted as the idea that death can be planned for and that certain actions can be taken to improve its timing and
meaningfulness. At the same time that individuals are wanting to take a more active role in their end-of-life decisions, the very act of dying is becoming more relegated to taking
place in medical institutions. End-of-life decisions also involve many individuals in addition to the actual patient. The ethical problems and moral questions associated with end-of-life decisions are a constant
subject for discussion. This proposal is designed to consider the ethical considerations surrounding end-of-life decisions. With the incorporation of a qualitative study based on surveys and questionnaires,
it is hope that a standard process for lifes ultimate decision can be formulated. INTRODUCTION With the advancement of medicine as a science, the issues of life and death have
become a prominent question in the care of patients. Society and medical practitioners continually face many dilemmas at the end of life. Death is a part of life,
