where he came. It is true that there is a racial divide and it enters the topic of immigration and some immigrants seem to be more welcome in America than
others. In looking at immigrant employment, it also seems as if there is a double standard. Ordinarily, immigrants are frowned upon. They are thought to be inferior, primarily due to
prejudice, but also due to prejudice, some are thought to be smarter than the average American. For example, many attribute the Chinese to having superior intellects. Still, in general, there
does seem to be an overwhelming amount of success stories in some cases, such as those who emigrate from India; however, there are sob stories from those who have come
from less desirable countries. In fact, the difference is so great that it appears as if some types of immigrants are actually worshipped where others are severely discriminated against.
Some examples are that high technology companies import those with certain backgrounds. Some companies notoriously recruit from Pakistan and India and offer the immigrants high salaries while other companies
in various industries are not so generous. Others seem to be hired and are placed in low paying jobs and in a sense it appears that they are being taken
advantage of, but are they? A student wanting to create a case study will want to find out which immigrants are being taken advantaged of and why.
