1997). This is a workplace that is one of nurturance and support. Laabs reported that Ben & Jerrys founders emphasize the importance of having fun at work and encourage unrestricted
expression of opinions in the workplace (1992). Jerry Greenfield, co-owner, proclaims himself the minister of joy and is determined to make this a fun place to work (Weinstein, 1997). Their
fun activities would no doubt be outlandish to most organizations. Consider: Greenfield created the Joy Gang, which is a roving band of "merrymakers" who celebrate made-up holidays like clash-dressing day
(Weinstein, 1997). The most outrageous outfits win prizes like glow-in-the-dark statues or rubber fish (Weinstein, 1997). The Joy Gang sponsors an event every month, sometimes for a specific department, sometimes
