study to this day. It was a time of devastatingly evil acts towards mankind and many people assume that those involved were simply evil individuals. In "Eichmann in Jerusalem: A
Report on the Banality of Evil" Hannah Arendt is a woman who is observing the trial of Eichmann, one of the supposedly most evil men regarding Hitlers killing of the
Jews during the war. Her work examines Eichmann, a man who continuously argued that he was only obeying orders, and illustrates that Eichmann was likely nothing more than a man
who was ambitious, but only one of many who illustrate how the bureaucracy mentality is dangerous and can lead many more Eichmanns being born. The following paper examines this argument
of Arendt in her work "Eichmann in Jerusalem: A Report on the Banality of Evil." Eichmann The student requesting this paper stated, "a concept evolved from observing Eichmann during
his trial for crimes against humanity, is the idea that the bureaucratic mentality of a technological society can generate other Eichmanns." Such an argument indicates that it is not
necessarily the fault of an individual, but the system that helps create such an individual. Arendt indicates throughout the book, in many ways, that Eichmann was one of many individuals
who did what he was told, but did it with a passion and determination. He was a result of a system that commended people for obeying orders, part of a
system that rewards those who follow the government. He was an ambitious man in a system that would give him his rightful place. If we put aside the reality
of the situation having to do with the murdering of innocent people we can perhaps see this theory from a less biased position. For example, in the United States, if
