is the story of a young man, Will Hunting (Matt Damon), who "immerses himself in books, drinking and friends to escape his anger and frustration stemming largely from his past
experiences with abusive foster families" (Good Will Hunting, 2006). Will is a genius, but hides his it from everyone, instead working a series of menial, and meaningless, jobs, including that
of a janitor at MIT (Good Will Hunting, 2006). While there, Will secretly solves an advanced mathematics problem that has puzzled both the professor and his most gifted students; everyone
wonders who could have found the solution (Good Will Hunting, 2006). The professor, Lambeau (Stellan Skarsg?rd) and his colleagues then put up a much more difficult problem and again Will
solves it (Good Will Hunting, 2006). Lambeau catches Will, wearing his janitors uniform, writing on the board and chases him away, then returns to find that once again Will has
solved the problem correctly (Good Will Hunting, 2006). Lambeau tracks Will down only to find him involved in a fight; he is arrested and hits a cop, guaranteeing he will
go to jail (Good Will Hunting, 2006). After the hearing, Lambeau meets with Will and describes the options open to him: he can go to jail, or he "can be
released under Lambeaus personal supervision, as per a deal that Lambeau worked out with the judge privately" (Good Will Hunting, 2006). This latter option has two further conditions: Will "must
work on advanced mathematics with Lambeau, and secondly, he must see a therapist" (Good Will Hunting, 2006). Will agrees and does very well in math, but hates the idea of
