fans; namely: "Is superstition a waning tradition among modern fans of baseball?" In order to get productive data for answering this research question, the questionnaire will have to be developed
in a very careful and thoughtful way. In this paragraph, the student is helped to show an understanding of quantitative survey methods. To begin with, a bit of a
background information regarding the research topic of the survey. Baseball fans are historically known to be quite superstitious, and so are the players. For decades, the sport of baseball has
been subject to talk of century-long curses affecting the success of teams such as the Chicago Cubs or the Boston Red Sox, and many are familiar with the quirky routines
that are undertaken by players such as the Tampa Bay Rays closing pitcher, Rafael Soriano, who never takes the mound without first drawing inspirational words in the clay with the
