Deals Leadership Orientations (Other) and the Mohrman-Cooke-Mohrman Job Satisfaction Survey. Bolman and Deal identified four leadership frames: structural, human resource, political, and symbolic. The structural frame emphasizes formal relationships; the
political frame emphasizes power and influence; the human reference frame emphasizes relationships; and the symbolic frame emphasizes the socio-cultural perspective (Jewell, 2007). Faculty who participated in the study were not
only Online instructors they were distant instructors. This means they were geographically separated from the campus. Surveys were provided at a secure Online site, thus, surveys were completed on the
