IQ and the childs language progress. There are other factors involved in a childs language development and that is exposure. The more exposure a child has to speech and conversations,
the more quickly the child will develop expressive language abilities. This literature review investigates these questions and reports research directly related to the topics. Introduction Historically, in terms of
child development, there is a common premise that girls learn certain skills before boys. Language development and social interaction communication are among the skills that girls tend to develop at
a higher level and at an earlier age than boys. Most research studies seem to support this premise. A few studies have suggested that this may not be true in
all environments. For example, children who do not live in homes where there is a lot of conversation and where there is little dialog between the parent and the child
may experience language delays. Exposure is essential for development in any aspect. Certainly other factors have an impact on any childs development. For instance, a male toddler raised in an
