they touch on seeking God and looking to God for all the answers in life. However, they also possessed different elements. The following paper examines the two poets, discussing as
Bradstreets "To My Dear and Loving Husband" and "In Reference To Her Children 23 June, 1659" and Taylors "My Spouse" and "Upon Wedlock, and Death of Children." The paper focuses
on their different attitudes and approaches to the theme of love. Edward Taylor and Anne Bradstreet According to the student requesting
this paper, "The colonial Puritans held firm opinions on many things including gender roles in both marriage and the society as well as child rearing. Anne Bradstreet and Edward Taylor
were two well-known Puritan poets who had very much in common such as being of the same time period, being poets, and being quite devoted to their religion. However, despite
all of these, one area in which they seem to have dissimilar beliefs is in love. One can see this contrast come into play in such poems as Bradstreets "To
