As a result, no planning or preparation process is complete without a total view of the goals and instructional strategies that incorporate these different areas. In promoting positive gains in
the educational process, educators must understand the base of information that their students possess. Though assessments are often used for this purpose, many educators do not have an opportunity
to assess all of their students at the onset of the learning process. As a result, students and educators go through a process of understanding eachother, and educators gain
the most from determining the base of knowledge that their students have. Question sessions, discussions and integrated educational methods often provide greatest support for this process. Classroom
Environment The classroom environment is an important component of the learning process, and educators must show respect to their students in order to create a positive learning environment. Supporting
the use of creative ideas, maintaining a respectful tone and working with students instead of against students are all ways that educators can promote a positive classroom environment.
Classroom management procedures should be explained to students and clear rules for discourse should be outlined. Students should know what to expect and the consequences of particular behaviors in
order to best address their needs and the needs of other students. Students are most respectful when they understand their role in the classroom setting. Instruction
