Zaire, Africa, Ebola viral hemorrhagic fever outbreaks have become more and more prevalent. Originally, only three outbreaks had been reported involving people but as these occurred in medically stifled
communities without adequate means by which to control further occurrences, the disease continued to spread. A combination of needle and syringe reuse, and insufficient medical supplies in such locations
as Zaire and western Sudan posed a considerable problem with regard to containment of the disease (Anonymous, no date). The specific source of
the Ebola virus continues to evade scientists who have "tested thousands of specimens" (Anonymous, no date, p. ebcdcinf.html) of animals caught in the immediate areas of known outbreaks. It
