Her mother, a single parent who is South American, speaks English and Spanish with Mary Ann and is requesting that Mary Ann be in an intervention class next year, mainstreaming
her into an environment where she can interact with other children her age who are average or above so that she can gain more diverse exposure to social and physical
skills she may be lacking. At present Mary Ann receives help from a speech therapist and an occupational therapist. Testing: BDI The test administered is the BDI test
which is a standardized test that individually assesses a combination of key developmental skills in children from the age of 0 to 8. Behavior Mary Ann was given
the test in school, after school, on two consecutive days. She was accustomed to the environment and the tester as the tester is employed at the school during their internship.
She was, therefore familiar and comfortable with the tester and the environment. She did ask where other children were, naming them. She had been informed before hand that she would
be staying after school for the testing. By the end of each 20 minute testing session she lost interest and was tired. She was well behaved and appeared to be
trying her best to pay attention. Results and Interpretation Motor Domain In the area of muscle control, which assesses a childs ability to use their large motor skills,
her control over large muscles, Mary Ann scored a 92 percentile which places her in the superior group. In body coordination, control over large muscles through doing things such
