as a solution? Point Two: In short, then, it costs less to incarcerate for life without a chance of parole, than to execute them. Consider that a recent report
stated that the state of California, for example, would save nearly ninety million dollars per year if it were to abolish the death penalty Point Three: Last, but not least,
the death penalty does not deter crime. Will rapists, murderers, drug dealers stop their activities because of the potential of the death penalty? No. Conclusion: The only conclusion one can
reach when this issue is examined logically, is that capital punishment does not punish the criminal. The Death Penalty punishes the taxpayer who must pay triple the amount for life
imprisonment, just to execute one prisoner. How the United States can call herself a civilized nation of thinking and moral people and still condone the miscarriage of justice is a
shining example of how far the United States still needs to go to insure justice for all of its people. In the end, there can be no price placed on
the loss of a life, even if that life is at the hands of the justice system. Introduction: Consider this: As long as the death penalty exists there
