However, during the middle of the 20th century, as organizations made the move from industrial/manufacturing into service sector/information services, the scope of organizational management changed. Rather than treating
employees like cogs in a machine, managing became increasingly aware that employees were "human resources;" in other words, a company could live or die based on the effectiveness of a
particular staff. In the wake of that trend arose a plethora of various organizational management, and psychological, techniques with which to manage various personnel and human resources teams.
The literature, perhaps unsurprisingly, has tried to keep pace with the idea of organizational psychology and its impact on personnel. What we need
to ask here, however, is how effective the literature is and whether the techniques in question are going to provide a positive impact on a particular companys workforce, not to
mention its management. To write this paper, the author searched various databases on the Internet to find the most recent scholarly articles
dealing with the topic of organizational psychology and application of techniques to management. The author came up with three that he/she believed was the best representation of the literature out
there. In the following sections, the author will analyze the literature, than discuss, based on his/her knowledge, as to the effectiveness of
