computer systems. Enterprise Resource Planning is the ingredient to help unify systems and to make departments and units work more in tandem. But
is ERP effective? Or is this simply another "business fad" that is doomed to failure? This paper will attempt to answer this question, first by defining what ERP is, and
then by providing examples of companies that have used the process, both for good and for bad. The conclusion well reach is that
ERP is neither effective nor ineffective as it is primarily a software. What needs to be measured is the business processes surrounding the concept. What is ERP?
