new foreign direct investment. The country identified for such an investment is South Korean (also known as the Republic of Korea or simply Korea).
A foreign direct investment is an investment that gives the investor (in this case, our company) a controlling interest in the venture.
This is not an uncommon question - as globalization continues to bring the world together, companies such as the one in question continue to seek out new markets
and new investments for return on investment and return on capital. Foreign governments, in their eagerness to have an influx of capital into their nations, are willing to waive restrictions
and legal difficulties to smooth the way for FDI, particularly if that FDI happens to come from the United States. The question
is, however, would such an investment work in Korea? What are the rewards and opportunities of such an investment? In this paper well examine this and other questions, then provide
a recommendation at the end as to whether a foreign direct investment (FDI) is the best method to enter this particular country - or even if this country should be
