mentions the term "entrepreneurial process" and "four steps," there are a variety of "four steps" from which to choose. Some point out that finding the opportunity, making the plan, getting
the money and running the business are one such four-step program. But for purposes of this paper, well define the four-step process as exploring the entrepreneurial context, identifying the opportunities
and potential competitive advantages, launching the venture or business, and managing it to its next stage. We liked this particular four-step process because of the ranking used.
For one thing, before one should become an entrepreneur, one must ensure that he/she has what it takes to find the idea and carry
it through. This is a lot harder than it sounds - many people just arent cut out for working for themselves. They may not have the drive or the ability
to set their own hours. The second step, finding the right opportunity, is also important - this needs to be an opportunity can attract financing (a very important consideration in
launching a business). And what about competitive advantage? This is great if the opportunity is a "first-mover," in other words, all but unknown to the market, assuming the market wants
it. This due diligence, or research, is necessary when it comes to building the business around the product, or service. Third, the
venture is launched - and this can include everything from getting the financing and employees to deciding on an appropriate marketing strategy to get the word to market. This is
