This 5 page paper examines the causes and treatment of dyslexia by considering why two students, both with dyslexia perform, differently on written exams, the one with the better education gaining lower results. The paper argues that this may be due to different degrees of affection or due to the greater ability of a poorer school to give basic reading lessons and these may have benefited a student. a well educated student when both have gone undiagnosed. There are a range of reasons for this potential. Unlike many conditions dyslexia may occur on a range of scales and
with various forms of severity. This will impact the affect the condition has on a student. Furthermore, where there are poorer schools with lower attainment rates there may be more
remedial classes and a greater concentration on the more basic skills. It is known that those diagnosed with dyslexia may be aided with learning aids, these may be more inherently
present in the poorer education that in the schools where education is deemed superior, simply due to a greater level of suitability for the condition and the education type provided,
eve if the levels of dyslexia were the same. Where the condition is acknowledged and known the poorer school may also be more geared to this condition due to
the resources and way the resources are already used for those who have problems reading for other reasons. To understand how this situation may occur the condition itself
needs to be understood. This is a condition that may be more common that is recognised. This neurological is estimated to effect between 5% and 15% of all Americans (Health
& Medicine Week, 2004). Padget has given a good definition of the condition, which it is known is biological, it is stated; "Dyslexia is a learning-based disorder that is
biological in origin and primarily interferes with the acquisition of print literacy (reading, writing, and spelling). Dyslexia is characterized by poor decoding and spelling abilities as well as deficits in
