However, the group is not acting in terms of a productive team with input from all and as such it not realising the potential. If we look at the group
we can examine its functioning. This is a workgroup, put together with a particular task in mind; the decision making processes of that determine marketing and policy decisions. The
make up of the team and the different areas of expertise indicates that all team members have input functions in the group but have the same aim. This is a
disjunctive task which is in the sub category of decision making task, where the decision made does not have to be one from a range, but the best alternative form
a range of options without there necessarily being one correct decision (Stein, 1972). The difficulty arises when we look at the decisions that are being made and the process,
as the input is not being received from all members, and even when received may be totally disregarded. To understand the group dynamics we need look at the group processes
and members. For a group to function productively there is a lifecycle model that should be followed with 5 stages; orientation, dissatisfaction, resolution production and termination. This is an
ongoing team with two men; Sebastian Morffect and Drummond Smith, and two women; Julie Austin and Benita Mapplethorpe. The two men have worked together for a number of years, Benita
has been with the company 5 years and Julie 5 months. When a new team member joins there has to be a reforming if the team. The first stage
