religious beliefs in order to die as martyrs, it is interesting to contemplate what would cause this sort of faith. To die for what one believes in is to
pay the ultimate price, and one that thousands are willing and ready to do each day. BECKET One well-known tale about those willing to die for their
religion is the book Becket by Jean Anouilh. Unraveling the mystery around Beckets death is a quest that has been ongoing since the very time of his demise; such
intensity has come full circle in that researchers and historians alike are still at a loss as to the ultimate resting place of the dead mans bones. To be
sure, this mission has made for significant intrigue. When one looks into the death of Becket, one will quickly realize that the martyr brought about his own misfortune by being
stubborn when it came to his opinions regarding Church rights. King Henry II was responsible for having Becket killed in Canterbury Cathedral; four of the kings knights actually carried out
