floors. In fact, it would be physically impossible for this to occur in real life, but in the dream, it seemed rather ordinary. I was not surprised that there was an escalator in my home nor was I surprised as to how far it would descend. As we went deeper and deeper into the ground, I began to feel as if I could not breathe. I yelled for help and asked my mother to turn down the thermostat. Although I could not see her, as I was far down in the ditch, and my mother was upstairs in the kitchen sipping tea, I could picture her upstairs. I knew where she was. In the dream, my father was not present in the home. My brothers and sisters were out and the only one in this now strangely situated home was myself and my mother. Again, I could not see her exactly, nor could I hear her. That is the gist of the dream, but I also remember grabbing a pencil on the way so I could write things down in case I needed to. However, I had nothing to write the information on. The dream is rather curious. It was somewhat frightening because as I would get closer and closer to the foundation of my home, it was darker and sparser. I felt a sense of suffocation and loneliness. A psychologist might interpret it in a myriad of ways, but I believe Carl Jung would see it as something related to the fact that my parents are in the midst of divorce.
