presents. However, the truth is that television is only one form of medium, it is only one form of entertainment and information. It cannot be expected to provide something for
all our needs, though it tries and claims to succeed. When we get down to the most basic qualities of television we can find that it does fulfill our needs
and desires, as a society, as far as it can. In essence, what we expect from television is what we get. It cannot be expected to meet our desires when
it comes to our lives concerning relationships or work. It is merely a medium of entertainment and information and for the most part it does its job very well. In
the following paper we examine television, discussing how it generally meets the needs and the desires of the American public as it involves television. Television First of all, it
is likely that the most we expect from television, as it involves our desires and needs, is related to the news. That is the only aspect of television where we
expect, and perhaps need, to have our desires met. We want to know what is going on in the world, and we want to know why it is happening. Generally
speaking, where any news is concerned we never get the whole story from just one network or one program. If we want the whole story, or most of the story,
we must rely on watching several news programs with several perspectives. This is particularly true of the recent events and activities since the attacks of September, 2001. In fact, this
