cannot necessarily prove, either way, concerning the existence of God. Some philosophers believe that one has nothing to lose by believing, and if they are true they reap rewards, others
point to a faith in God as a way to explain ones universe. In the following paper we examine a dialogue between two people, Andy and Barb. Barb has no
doubts that God exists, but Andy has convinced himself that God does not exist based on two primary points. These points are discussed and then examined for weaknesses.
The Dialogue: Andys Argument Andy and Barb are having a discussion about the existence of God. Andy has claimed, first and foremost, that if god did not exist the world
would be a very cold and lonely place. It would be a world without value and without justice. Barb has no problem with this but Andy emphasizes the reality and
states that this is the case with the world. He argues that "theres no warmth, no compassion. No one values anyone but himself and just look at our justice system.
Theres no justice in this world. The poor get cheated and the rich get off." He states that this proves God does not exist. Barb is not convinced, however,
and that she needs more to believe his change in belief systems. Andy tells her his other argument which revolves around freewill and how God has, or does not have,
knowledge of everything that goes on in the world and everything that will go on. Andy says that if God knows everything then he knows what will happen in Andys
