her child, but has a conflicted sense of her role. She states that she feels the need to return to a career she has been cultivating for many
years, but does not want to leave her child in the care of others. The following demonstrates the process to Do A Client Map for Ann: Diagnosis Ann
may be experiencing some level of depression following the birth of her child, but this seems unlikely. It is more likely that Anns natural maternal attachment is taking hold
and that she is demonstrating natural conflict over the balancing of motherhood and career. Objectives The objectives of this therapeutic relationship will include the following: 1.
To rule out any psychopathology that could hinder Anns progress. 2. To address any issues in psychosocial functioning that could negatively impact Ann and/or her baby. 3. To
support Ann in a decision-making process with outcomes that are beneficial for her; 4. To support Ann in the transition, either out her career or out of her home
and back to her career; 5. To develop a plan for moderating feelings of depression, anxiety, or doubt that correspond with her choice; 6. To provide feedback
on the process. Assessment Ann will be assessed for depression and the presence of an anxiety disorder, in order to rule these out when creating a necessary therapeutic
