This paper explores the different rates of divorces that exist in the US, the UK, Russia, and China. While the US is far in the lead,
the other more technologically developed countries are not far behind in the number of divorces. China, in contrast, experiences only a fraction of the divorces experienced in these other
countries. The author argues that the explanation is the differing degree of globalization experienced by these countries.
Introduction The rate of successful marriage verses divorce varies considerable between the U.S., Russia, the UK and China. The
